Dog attacks ~ why blame a particular breed?

I agree whole heartedly with you. As a Rottweiler owner/exhibitor, I am faced with daily ignorance and sometimes verbal abuse from the general public. I have put in far more work training my dogs than a lot of people I know and I still encounter dog owners who allow their dogs to run riot around my leashed dogs and then get offended when I ask them to call their dogs back! I have sacrificed a lot so as to bring up my dogs to be well mannered, obedient and safe citizens and yet I have had so called safe breeds actually attack mine!! The media basically 'witch hunt' certain breeds and I just despair sometimes. Also those who breed dogs with dodgy temperaments get my goat as all they are doing is causing pain and anguish. Well done you for raising these points!
