What does it mean when Chiron is on houses cusps?

My Chiron is in the 2nd house, but it is less than one-half a degree from the 3rd house. I am too young to have a career and much possessions, so I'm not sure how it will play out for me to have 2nd house wounding. I strongly identify with what readings say about being very criticized by siblings and parents, and the bad hurt wounding that seems hard to break free from. Chiron is in the 2nd house, but it is moving toward the 3rd. Would you say that moving toward is a stronger influence than movine away from? I'm just asking.
