What is the most dangerous state in the U.S?

- I was just wondering what the most dangerous state in America is. My thoughts were Alabama, South Carolina (Ku Klux Klan) or Idaho (Nazis). I have nothing against any state in the U.S, just was one of those things that popped into my head while watching the History Channel.
