you just have to prove that they did the damage.take either the oil pan or at least pictures with you to court. i doubt it will go that far. try contacting the bureau of automotive repairs. but a place like walmart only does maintenance , not repairs. so they are not required to have a license. most shops will just pay you. they know that shops loose in court around 95% of the time. easier to give you the $1000 then spend three times that going to court.
