Can I learn piccolo before flute?

Alright, so last year I played alto sax, but i switched to flute because i heard the s were similar and i've been playing for about 2 months now, but i want to play piccolo for concert season and winter concert is going to start soon. i'm not really good on flute, but i'm okay for a beginner because i had to learn fast, so if i switch to piccolo, will that help with my flute playing skills? like the s and embouchure?
