What is growing in my nose?

inside my nose on my left nostril there is a white stem like "thing" in my nose.. when i pull on it , it hurts really bad so i'm not even going to attempt to cut it. It's white and looks like 3 tentacles (sorry for description) and i can't figure out what it is.. I've had it for years and years, as long as I can remember its just now starting to puzzle me.. Help me if you can :D
